Xbox One controller won't work with Project64. I’m trying to use an Xbox One controller with Project64 2.3.0.210 and the buttons aren’t registering when I go to controller configuration. The controller has worked fine with Zsnes. I tried using an older version of NRage Input (2.3 something I believe) to no avail.
Thank you for considering supporting this project. It does help a lot and is very appreciated. It does help us continue what we love doing: pouring our heart & soul into making the best N64 emulator. It's worth noting that Project64 will stay free! You can still use all the features of the emulator even if you do not support it. Hi I have a retrolink usb n64 controller which I am trying to use on my pc with windows 10 installed. It is recognized in the control panel as a generic controller but not by the software on my computer. Within the control panel it also mentions that it was 'not migrated'. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dolphin Controller Configuration. To open and manage the controller settings for Dolphin, from the Dolphin's main window, navigate to Options - Controller Settings, or simply click the 'Controllers' button. The main controller configuration window will appear, as seen in the screenshot below.
Hey, sorry for creating an account just because I needed help. Anyway, I'd really appreciate if anyone could give shed some light.
I'm trying to use a PS2 controller USB adaptor ti play on Project64 ('TigerGame PS/PS2 Game Controller Adapter' as shown on Windows XP control panel, though on the device itself it's written 'Super Joy Box 5 Pro'), but it ain't working.
I use the same device/PS2 controller with every other emulator, so I don't think that would be the problem. I'm using Pj64 v1.6, and I've tried both the 'Jabo DirectInput7 1.6' and the 'N-Rage's DirectInput8 2.1.83' plugins. With the first one, whenever I click a key to assign, it automatically sets that key to Z- (if analog is on), or to S0 (analog off); with the latter, nothing will happen at all no matter which button I press.
A friend of mine has always had the same adaptor (his' is an earlier version, not the '5 Pro', but still...), and it always worked fine for him, so I guess it should be supported, right?
If anyone has any ideas I'll be glad to hear them!
So, what does this do for you? Many things! Here are the key advantages:
Project 64 Won't Detect Controller Windows 7

- No calibration required. As the game talks to the controller directly, it reads exactly the same axis values it would in a non-emulated setup. In other words, the controller works, responds and feels exactly as it would in real life.
- Low latency. When the game must read the controller, the request is forwarded directly to the controller by the adapter. The later immediately returns the controller's answer to the game.
- Potential support for any expansion accessory without any intervention nor device-specific functionality required on the part of the emulator, of the plugin or of the adapter (except for the direct access feature), which means:
- Rumble pack support (tested)
- Memory pack support (tested)
- Transfer pack support (confirmed)
- Bio sensor support (tested)
- Support for peripherals other than controllers.
- N64 mouse (tested)
- VRU (confirmed, requires special ports1_4 version of the plugin)
- N64 Keyboard (not confirmed[1])

Warning: This project is experimental and still in development. While it is already usable, some of the features above, especially the ones that are unconfirmed, may be found not to work at all. There can (and will) be bugs, and there are still many missing features such as multi adapter support. Your help and patience in testing as well as your constructive feedback are welcomed.
